CLASS: Native Pollinator Hotel Workshop
Join John Kotab, author of Bee the Change: If We Protect, Nature Will Provide and native pollinator aficionado, for a 2-hour workshop on building and managing "bee hotels" for native pollinators! This in-person class will be held at our Merrimon Avenue storefront from 3-5PM on Saturday, May 10th.
John will introduce you to North Carolina's 400 species of wild bees, why it's important to support our native pollinators, and how to craft a 5-inch modular bee hotel to provide them with a safe place to nest. He will also discuss how to manage and upkeep the hotel, and how to expand your native bee "real estate" to provide even more homes for the bugs. You'll even get a brief introduction to plants that provide natural habitats for our native pollinators.
You will walk away with a bee hotel you built yourself, a pollinator-friendly seed pack John selected and packed himself, and plenty of links and resources for additional learning.
The Family option is for families of 4 who want to attend together. With this option you will still take home just 1 hotel.
