CLASS: Ins and Outs of Beekeeping

Curious about becoming a beekeeper, or wanting to learn more about what it takes? This class is a fantastic opportunity to find out everything you need to know! We’ll cover the basics of getting started, including equipment, protective gear, selecting and ordering bees, choosing the right spot for your apiary, and what to expect for your first beekeeping season. Even if you’re not sure beekeeping is right for you, this class is a great way to get comfortable making that informed decision. 

We recommend taking this class in tandem with All About Bees and Approaching the Hive. If you are a true beginner, we strongly encourage you to take our All About Bees course prior to this one, as it provides important foundational information about bees as insects that will help your understanding of this material.

This class is 2 hours long and held in-person at our storefront at 23 Merrimon Avenue in Weaverville, NC. Please bring materials to take notes.
