H+H Infused Honey, Bee Balm
Here at Honey & the Hive, we really revere our local flora and fauna, from our native bees to our native herbs and flowers. And our infused honeys are some of our staple products! We've married the two for a deceptively simple yet complex wildflower honey infused with bee balm.
Bee balm (Monarda fistulosa) is a native perennial that tastes like a much better oregano. With the sweetness of marjoram and the warm, spicy herbal notes of kitchen oregano, it infuses brightly and oh-so-perfectly with honey.
Our Bee Balm Infused Honey would make a great all-arounder, giving extra depth and flavor to teas, sauces, glazes, and spreads. Or you can use it as a humble drizzle to add a great zing to cheese, fruit, or really anything at all. Bee balm is really that good. And it's a little taste of our region: Appalachian honey with an Appalachian herb!
All our herbal infused honeys are made in-house with local raw (unpasteurized) wildflower honey, which is produced by local bees and beekeepers in the Western North Carolina and Southern Appalachians region.
